Most Curbside single and dual stream Programs accept the following material. But you should check with your service provider to make sure that the list below is acceptable.
Single Stream saves a lot of money from the collection process if you are in an urban setting. One truck and one go getter can collect single stream recyclables from 700 households in an 8 hour shift if the concentration rate is heavy and the truck has left hand drive. If it is urban area and is sparse on participation the same individual and truck will process 1100 households as long as it is done at the curb with no parking on that side of the street.

Containers
a. Glass Beverage and Food Bottles and Jars (clear, brown or green glass.
b. Aluminum Beverage Cans (UBCs). Trays and Foil.
c. Aseptic Packaging and Gable Top Beverage Containers (milk & juice cartons).
d. Steel Food and Beverage Cans and Tins.
e. PET Containers (#1 clear and green plastic resin) such as soda, water and flavored drink bottles.
f. HDPE-Natural Containers (#2 clear plastic resin) such as milk, water and juice beverage containers.
g. HDPE-Colored Containers (#2 colored plastic resin) such as detergent and fabric softener containers.
h. PVC-Narrow Neck Containers (#3 plastic resin) such as health and beauty aid products and household cleaners.
i. LDPE-Grocery Item Containers (#4 plastic resin) such as margarine tubs, frozen desert cups, six and 12 pack rings.
j. #7 Plastic Resin Grocery Items Narrow Neck Containers
Paper Fiber
k. Newspaper, including inserts (remove plastic sleeves).
l. Cardboard (excluding wax cardboard).
m. Kraft (brown paper) Bags.
n. Magazines, Catalogs and Telephone Books.
o. Office, Computer, and Notebook Paper (no metal clips or spirals or binders).
p. Chipboard (cereal, cake and food boxes, gift boxes, etc).
q. Carrier Stock cartons are only accepted in 1/2 of the nations recycling programs (soda and beer can carrying cases).
r. Junk Mail and Envelopes (no plastic cards, stick on labels or unused stamps).
s. Paper Back Books (no hard cover books).
